This Act baned chilrden under 10 to work and women were to work no more than 56 hurs per week. -
Working women
women started working and their status had rapidly changed. The educated upper class women could also be lawyers, doctors, and journalists. Most of them who worked outside were single. -
Child labor
During the Industrial Revolution, the number of children under the age of 15 who worked in industrial jobs for wages climbed to 2 million.
