Exposition- This is part of the exposition because a few more characters are introduced, the setting is exposed, and the main conflict is just beginning to become revelent. -
Papa elf shows Buddy santa's sliegh
Rising Action- Papa Elf shows Buddy santa's sliegh, and shows him how because of low Cristmas Spirit, the sliegh needs a turbine engine to fly. This is part of the Rising Action, because a problem is exposed, that comes up later in the movie. -
Buddy learns he is not an elf
Rising action- When Buddy learns that he is not an elf, this is part of the rising action because, the main conflict is exposed, and the more exiciting and suspeneful parts of the movie begins. -
Buddy leaves the North Pole in search of his Dad
Rising Action- Buddy leaves the North Pole when he learns he is not an elf, in search of his father who doesn't know he exisits. This is part of the Rising Action because the protanganist begins a journy, and the suspense begins to build. Along the way he is attacked by a racoon! -
Buddy meets his Dad in New York City
Rising Action- Buddy meets his Dad (Walter Hobbs) at his work (a puplishing company) in New York City. Buddy's dad doesn't believe that Buddy is his son, but DNA testing proves otherwise. -
Buddy accedently gets a job at a christmas store
Rising action- Buddy was at a store, trying to buy something for his Dad, when the owner of a Christmas store saw him, and gave him a job. At the store, Buddy met a woman named Jovie, and gets a crush on her. This is part of the Rising Action because it brings more exitment into the movie. -
Buddy get's in a fight with an imposer Santa at the store
Rising Action- At the store where Buddy works, Buddy gets in a fight with and imposer santa, who was asking the kids what they wanted for Christmas. This unfortunatly costs Buddy his job. This is part of the Rising Action because it adds exitment to the movie, and adds suspense to it as well. -
Buddy goes to live with his Dad and his Dad's family.
Rising Action- When DNA testing proves that Buddy is Walters son, Buddy's Dad takes Buddy into his home. This is part of the rising action because the suspense is growing on what will happen to Buddy. -
Buddy has dinner with his new family
Rising Action- At Buddy's new house, his new family serves him spaggetti for dinner. Buddy puts maple syrup on his spagetti, and drinks and entire two liter bottle of coke. This is part of the rising action because Budy's new family is beginning to think he is crazy, and the suspense is growing. -
Buddy goes to pick up his brother from School
Rising Action- When Buddy goes to pick up his brother from school, they get caught in a snowball fight. After Buddy defeats several kids by himself, his brother decides he likes Buddy. This is part of the Rising Action because the movie is starting to a more exiting part. -
Buddy ask Jovie out on a date
Rising Action- Michael takes Buddy to ask Jovie (Buddy's crush) on a date. Buddy, asks Jovie if she wants to go eat food. This is part of the rising action, because it adds humor to the story, and starts the role of an important character in the movie. -
Buddy and Michael cut down a christmas tree, for their Dads tiny apartment
Rising Action- Buddy and Michael cut down a gigantic Christmas tree, which didn't fit in their Dad's apartment. Buddy, trying to get the star on the tree jumped onto it, and it came crashing to the ground. This is part of the Rising Action, because it makes the movie more exiting, and adds humor into it. -
Buddy goes to his Dad's work for a day
Rising Action- Buddy goes to work with his dad, and his dad sends him to the mail room. Buddy then gets every one in the mail room to dance to blaring Music. This part of the movie is part of the Rising Action because it creates exitment, suspense (because his dad is getting tired of him), and humor. -
Buddy goes on his Date
Rising Action- Buddy and Jovie go on their date together. They look at christmas tree, and go ice skating together. This is part of the Rising Action because it is funny, suspenceful (because Buddy does really embarrassing things), and exiting. -
Cristmas Eve
Rising Action beginning of Climax- At Wlter Hobbs job, Walter has an important meeting, and Buddy bursts in and messes it up. A famous author there, gets mad a Buddy for calling him an elf. They get in a fight, and the author leaves, and Walter needed him. Walter, then tells Buddy to get out of his life, and Buddy leaves. This is part of the Rising Action and beginning of climax because it is one of the most suspensful parts of the movie. -
Santa in Manhatten
Climax- When Walter told Buddy to get out of his life, Buddy left. He was going to leave New York, But he then saw Santa's sleigh falling out of the sky. Buddy rushes to find Santa, and finds him in central park, unable to fly away because there was no Christmas Spirit. Walter and Michael go out looking for Buddy, and they find him in Central Park with Santa. Walter apologizes to Buddy, and Buddy helps Santa fix the sleigh. This is part of the climax because it is the most suspenseful part. -
Christmas
Falling Action- Buddy celebrated Christmas with his new family (after saving Christmas), and they now fully accepted him as the person he was (He got a big jar of maple syrup!). This is part of the Falling Action because Buddy has solved the main problem, and the suspense is dropping into a reasonable ending. -
Resolution
Resolution- Walterquits his job and writes a book called elf (about his son Buddy). Budddy and Jovie end up getting married, and they visit the North Pole to visit Papa elf. This is the resolution or ending because it is the reasonable ending to the story. Buddy has solved the main problem, and the suspenseful parts are over.
