Anti- Federalists argued against a strong federal government, while the Federalists of the time argued for a strong Central otherwise known as Federal government. They argued over issues such as government size, power, and the voting system. -
Democratic-Republicans
The Democratic-Republicans formed out of the remains of the Ant-Federalist party. The new part heavily favored states rights over the strength of a strong central government. -
Jacksonian Democrats
The Jacksonians emerged in the 1820s as party devoted to electing Andrew Jackson to presidency. Jackson ran as a man of the people and set apart from other candidates, even though in reality he was much alike those other candidates. -
Republicans- Lincoln
The Republican Party of the time focused on major issues such as apposing slavery leading up to larger conflict in the Civil War. -
Roosevelt Democrats
A Democrat who believes in certain added human rights such right to good health, or the right to a good home. Roosevelt's term in office was during the 1930's -
Modern Republicans
The modern Republican party is conservative in nature, and runs on issues such as pro-life, pro-2nd amendment, and generally favors personal property/interests over large government programs. -
Modern Democrats
Modern Democrats focus on issues such a Pro-abortion or pro-choice, they are liberal in nature. They also run on issues such as immigration, healthcare, and other public programs to be instituted on the federal level.
