Invasion of Cambodia
The Invasion of Cambodia plan was to disrupt North Vietnamese supply lines. Nixon wanted to invade and bomb vietcong basecamps. President Richard Nixon declared the invasion. -
Kent State Shootings
Occured at Kent State University in Ohio and by the Ohio National Guard. Four students were killed, and 9 others were wounded. This event epitomized the division that the Vietnam War had created on America. -

Mark Spitz was said to be the most successful athlete. -
U.S. Supreme rules on Roe V. Wade
The reason behind the cout date was to rule out if women should be able to have abortions or not, Roe V. Wade believed that women should be able to have abortions within the first three months of pregnacy. The court ruled 7-2 that a right to privacy under the due process clause of the 14th ammendment extended to a women decison to have an abortion. -
Congres initiates Impeachement proceedings against Nixon
The impeachment started because og the Watergate scandal in 1972. There were many cover-ups to try and save Nixon for a while. The cover-ups didn't help for long. Nixon was also impeached because of some of his bad choices in Vietnam. -
