    This tornado is the second deadliest in United States History. It made landfall in Natchez, Mississippi and killed 317 people. At the time the damage cost was 1.26 million dollars, which is about 29.8 million dollars today.

    This was a fire that burned in Wisconsin the same day of the Great Chicago fire. The fire started when a strong windstorm blew small prairie fires over millions of acres. It trapped the whole town in flames. It killed anout 1,200 poeple and burned 12 towns.

    In Johnstown, Pennsylvania, steel was produces in high quantities. All of the hard work was washed away, when the South Fork dam failed. The dam bursted because days of downpour. This unleashed more then 20 million tons of water onto the city. It wiped out about 1,600 homes and killed 2,209 people.

    This hurricane was known as the Jewel of Texas. The category 4 hurricane had winds estimated to be 135 mph and had 15 foot waves. 8,000 people perished in the disaster because the island decided against a sea wall.

    This multiple vortex torndao hit Joplin, Missouri. It reached a maximum width of 1 mile. Its widns were less than or equal to 250 mph and killed 158 people. It caused 2.8 million dollars in damage.
