    Lexington was the battle where the Brittish landed on the colonial shore. They were met by less than 70 of the colonial minutemen. Both sides waited for the other to fire first, then someone fired "The Shot Heard Around The World" which started the battle.

    The Battle of Concord was fought when the frustrated Brittish troops, expecting to find muskets and didn't, set fire to several houses. After much yelling the Minutemen charged, and while the Brittish retreated towards Boston the Minutemen fired at them from behind trees. the Brittish suffered 250 casualties compared to the Minutemen's 100.

    After Concord the Brittish retreated to Boston where the Minutemen surrounded the city, and waited for reinforcements. When they arrived they laid the city under siege. The Brittish retreated to Charlstown, but the Colonists heard about it and it was foiled. The battle, where the colonists were camped in trenches on Bunker Hill in-between Boston and Charlstown, and the brittish advancing upward toward them. The battle was lost but the casualties were a victoy, 10 to 4 (Brittish vs. Colonists.

    The Patriots werelow on money when Cornwallis prepared to attack a force led by Marquis de Lafayette. Washington moved troops to join Lafayette, the combined force surrounded and defeated Cornwallis in Yorktown.
