    The boston massacre was the start of hatred between England and America. When the collonists through things at the british soldiers, the soldiers got strtled and they open shot into the croud, resulting in 5 collonist deaths.
  • declaration of independence

    in 1776 congressmen made a document to tell the British king that they wanted to separate from their rule and become independent.
  • Louisianna Purchase

    President Thomas Jefferson purchased Louisianna which at that time was 530 million acres. Jefferson bought all of that land for 15 million dollars which rounds to about 3 cents an acre.(McDougal-Littel, Page 344-346)

    The donner party is important to the history of the US becuse it showed how much risk people were willing to go through in order to start a new life out west. The donner party took what they thought was a short cut, and they got stuck in five foot of snow, leaving them trapped and without food. It was said that they turned into canables and ate other people in their party.(history.com)

    Many people moved out west because they found there was gold. Once one person made a forune, the word spread and soon everybody was out in california. Not all people found gold, however. (McDowell LIttell pg. 439)

    The battle of Fort Sumter started when confederate forts around Fort Sumter gave them an hour to surrender, and when they didint the confdederatcy fired to start the battle of Fort sumter. This lead to a 4 year Civil war.

    Pear harbor was a surprised millitary attack on our navy base from the japanese navy. They killed many people and detroyed alot of our Navy equiptment.

    Hitler was an evil man. He shot himself two days after he was warned that Russia was going to conquer. He shot and poisioned humself along with his wife.

    On august 16th 1977 Elvis died due to a heart attack. He was pronounced dead at 3:30 pm at Baptist Memorial Hospital. One of his friends stopped by his house midafternoon and found him lying on the bathroom floor unconscious. Some insane people said that they have allegedly seen Elvis since his death. Some people also have theories that he faked his death.

American eagle started as 1 store with a lot of hope and now has over hundreds of stores nationally. To be exact 929 stores in America. American eagle has a total of 39,600 employees and makes a total income of over 1 and a half billion dollars a year.

    A fifteen year old Manheim twp. Student was stabbed 5+ times by her former boyfriend while in a park. The 16 year old guy who stabbed her is in Lancaster County Jail for attempted murder and assault without bail. The perpetrator says he doesn’t remember why he did it and that he blacked out while he was running away from the cops
