When the Lusitania sank, it caused a huge uproar during the war because 128 American citizens were killed. America was angry with Germany because they had agreed to not attack anymore American vessels. This event lead to unauthorized submarine warfare to stop for 2 years.

Battle of Cantigny
It was the second day of the great German offensive comprising the Third Battle of the Aisne.
American troops lead by Major-General Robert Lee Bullard, captured the village of Cantigny which had been under German rule.

The French aided the Americans in their attack by providing supplies and weapons. -
Second Battle of the Marne or Battle of Reims
This was the last German Spring Offensive on the Western Front. The German attack failed when the French interfered with a counter attack. This defeat started a numerous amount of victories for the Allies. This was considered the beginning of the end of the Great War.

On November 11th, World War 1 officially ended. -
Germany surrenders to the Allies
The Allies terms were presented to Germany. Germany was stunned by the terms and protested but gave in and signed the demands. President Wilson celebrated by giving the Thanksgiving Address at the end of the month.

Treaty of Versaille Ratified
After the war, the countries decided to ratify the Treaty of Versaille to restore peace. -
League of Nations first meeting
On the 16th of January in 1920, the League of Nations had their first metting. Their purpose was to try to resolve future conflicts peacefully. -

League of Nations dissolved
On April 20th 1946, the League of Nations called a quits and dissolved. Later they would be replaced by the UN.
