  • Rise of Industrial America

    Due to significant changes in recent years, America went from being a county of agriculture to an industrialized society in little to no time. Many things will be introduced throughout this such as new waves of technology, ways to produce food and clothing as well as new buildings whether it be factories or new improvements on ones home.
  • Standard Oil

    While America was on the rise with big businesses, many of these wealthy men would want to create plans to increase their success such as forming trusts. In 1882 John D. Rockerfeller created his Standard Oil Trust where in which he would trade the stockholders shares for trust certificates. This would ultimately lead him to create more money and have more control over the oil industry
  • Hull House

    In the year 1889 the Hulluse was created and opened in Chicago by Jane Addams and Ellen Gates. This place was a settlement that would offer services to the poor, the working class and immigrants. Throughout the year up to 74 of these Hill House settlements were opening up across the United States.
