    Lasted from October 16 to October 28. Khrushchev sent weapons to Cuba. Kennedy warned Soviets that a missle attack would trigger a war on U.S.S.R. Soviets reach an agreement with U.S.

    Lasted from January 30 to September 23. During the celebration of Tet, Vietcong attacked over 100 towns and 12 U.S. air bases in South Vietnam. Led America to consist of 40% hawks and also 40% doves.

    King emphasized how he was against the Black Power movement, and even seemed to sense his own death in his Memphis speech. He was shot by James Earl Ray and died the next day.

    Nixon's goal was to reach the "silent majority" of working class Americans (people who supported the war). Also, his foreign policy was to achieve "peace with honor" in Vietnam (U.S. troops left Vietnam with honor).
