The Battle of Shiloh.
This battle is when 40,000 Confederate troops ambushed Union soldiers on the Pittsburgh Landing near the Tennessee River. This ambush almost threatened General Ulysses S. Grant's command. It drove the Union soldiers back but they eventually got the upper hand and forced the Confederates to retreat with the help of the General's attack strategies.
