New York Slave Revolution
Nine whites died and twenty-one blacks who had attempted to escape were executed during this period. -
South Carolina Slave Revolt
About 50 blacks tried to escape from their miserable lives. They went along the Stono River and tried to reach Florida (which was owned by the Spanish) and were stopped by the local militia.
