Franz Ferdinand Assassination
Archduke and his wife decided to visit Bosnia and went to "Sarajevo", Bosnia's capital, even though he knew it was dangerous for him to be there. A small bomb hits Archduke and his wife, but the driver stepped on the gas to miss the bomb. They tried to drive to the hospital but took the wrong turn. This turn happened to end Archdukes life because the same man who threw the bomb was on that street. He took his opportunity and shot them both. They died within an hour. -

World War 1 starts on July 28, 1914. -
Western Front at Verdun
This was the longest bloodiest battle of WW1. The Germans would sacrifice anything to win. On both sides about 400,000 casualties.
