Puritans find Massachusetts Bay Colony in 1630
The Massachusetts Bay Colony was founded during the Great Puritan Migration, along with the Massachusetts Bay Company. Later from 1629-1630 non-seperatist Puritans had led one of the companies stock holders by securing a royal charter. Than they decided to propose a settlement within the area with Boston. But then eleven vessels filled with thousands of immigrants which started the colony. -
1630 Significance in History
This time period was significant due to the fact that the Puritans wanted to create a model of reformed Protestantism and basically a "city upon a hill". Which appeared as holy as they intended to. Also this was an influencial moment as well because the Puritans were able to become independent and create their own idealistic view as to what a community as a whole should look like. These people wanted to religiously live in peace with a civiled government. I believe this could have influenced -

Pequot War 1637
The Pequot people were fighting against the English settlers from the Massachusetts Bay, Connecticut and Saybrook Colonies. This was a brutal war with many conflicts between the Native American and Europeans. The Pequot War caused due to the amount of economic, political and cultural changes that were made by the arrival of the Dutch in Connecticut River Valley. The Pequot peopel were fighting for control over who would control Wampum trade in the Connecticut River Valley. -
The Pequot War 1637 Continued
The Pequot people also wanted to maintain their political and economic dominance but since the Dutch came things didn't go as planned with the Pequot tribe which eventually led up to a war. Tension grew between all parties and in July 1636 the murder of John Oldham ultimately caused the visicous out break. -
1637 Significance
1637 is important because we see how many diverse parties primarily fought over control. So I think that when the American Indians fought back this time it would eventually influence other Indians to revolt against the Europeans. OR this war could have Impaired their preceptions on Europeans causing more hatred and tension between the two. I think this is very important because it is basically the basis of what will happen between the American Indians and the Europeans in future premises. -
1642-1648 Significance
The English Civil war did have many effects in the New world specifically this war affected colonies because freedom and power was relocated into the legislative body. Also this war had a great Impact to the military and economy creating improved developments. These things provided more strength within the colonies primarily the English Army. Also after the war more power was given to the Nobles were they were able to create policies that supported everyone and not themselves. -

Later on these conflicts started to build up with King James causing him to have many rivals. Than the first Civil war starts which was settled by Oliver Crowwells victory for Parlilmentary forces in 1645 the Battle of Naseby. The second battle ended when Charles was defeated and executed in 1649. -

The English Civil War took place from 1642 through 1648 in the British Isles. The supportes of Charles I monarchy clashed with parliamentarians in England, Covenaner in Scotland and Confederates in Ireland. Charels the first than creates an army to go against the wishes of the Parliament later dealing with a rebellion in Ireland. There were many other conflicts King James the first had started such as the Bishop wars in 1640 and the Ulster rebellion in 1641. -
Bacon's Rebellion 1676
Bacon's Rebellion occured in 1679 it was an uprising in the Virgina Colony in North America. This uprising was led by planter Nathaniel Bacon. Many Virginians resented against Governor William Berkeleys policies towards the American Indians. Indians than attacked the frontier settlements where William failed to leave immediately. Than Berkeley was chased out of Jamestown, Virgina later torching the capital. -

Farmers hoped they could drive the Native Americans out of Virgina but failed to do so. This revolt ended with Williams Berkeley to be recalled into England. -
1679 Significance
There was meaning behind Bacon's revolt because they were ordinary people, who had minimal power yet they fought for what they wanted. I think this revolt might have caused others to revolt as well and fight against egotistical representatives who were given the wrong power. When it comes down to revolts their can be negative and positive outcomes or even both. But it's about risk and believing change can happen by constantly pressuring someone. -
Dominion of New England 1686
The Dominion of New England was formed In 1686 were British colonies merged into New England. Specifically Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hemisphere and Rhode Island was merged together into 1 Colony. Later on with multiple colonies merged together it causes the New England Confederation. In 1686 after the death of King James the first in 1685, King James the second created the Dominion of New England. -

He created this ino order to tighten his control over the administration affairs of New England colonies. The Dominion of New England was also made to strengthen colonial defense when a war would happen. It was also used to enforce the Navigation Acts in the colony which prohibited the colonist from trading with countries not ruled by British crown. -

The Dominion of New England is significant because King James tried to take away the rights of peope, so soon after the Glorious Revolution occurs and restores the rights of the people. I believe this these two things are important because there is always meaning behind someones actions and James wanted more control over those colonies. So this sparked the Glorious Revolutions because they saw the cruel acts of King James II and there is a cause and effect to things. -
