Captain Cooks Arrival To Hawaii
He arived in Waimea river on Kauai. Very soon a thriving trade developed beetween the English and the Hawaiians. The English needed food and the Hawaiians needed iron and nails. Cook Later sailed to Oahu where his death wish was upon him. -

King kamehameha tried to rule his own island for 9 years and he finally has and also is unifing the islands. -
Hula
Hula was a tradional dance. Used to tell stories of ancient times and to honor their gods. Also for entertainment for some it was a way of life for others it was beautiful to witness this style/art of dancing. -

All The Hawaiians settled. Soon after missionaries started coming and most of the Hawaiians embraced their new religion. Although their are still some who still and always will belive in kapu. -
End of Kapu Part 1
Kamehameha has obeyed kapu throughout his years of regin. But now that they have witnessed all the english men disobey kapu there starting to not belive it anymore. Now that King Kamehameha is dead he is no longer here to enforce kapu. So Ka'ahumanu finds this as her chance to regain control for her equality and fairness. She prepared a speech for her people to here. After finally convincing Liholiho, He said yes. Soon after that some Hawaiians got angry and fought back. Liholiho won the battle. -
Boston Missionaries
The first missionaries to arrive in Hawaii were Presbyterian, Congregationalists and Dutch Reformists from New England. They sailed on the Thaddeus. 14 missionaries along with 4 hawaiian boys sailed to Hawaii, there voyage was 164 days long. During there voyage Kamehameha I died, his son Liholiho became ruler and the kapu system was abolished. With no belief system the hawaiians were left cluless, but coinsidently at the same exact tim the missionaries came and it was a perfect opertunity. -

for the missionaries it was a perfect opurtunity. Soon after Many Hawaiians converted to the christian religon. -
Asian Immigrant
Asian immigrants came to hawaii lokking for jobs. Luckily the sugar cane industry needed lots of workers which created lots of jobs for the immigrants.
