1)Missy Hensen and old john drove into town.
2)the word of a slave trader coming to the plantation spread.
3)julilly got to know of CANADA from mammy sally as a place of freedom . -
Chapter 2
1)the slave trader came to the plantation
2)Julilly was bought by the slave trader.
3)Julilly was seperated from Mammy Sally and was being takent to the deep south. -
chapter 3
1)the salve trader and the cart full of slaves stopped for water,
2)julilly met a tall white man and a young black boy.
3)the black boy and the tall white man helped julilly and the other slaves get water. -
chapter 4
1)Julilly helped lester and adam by pulling the heavy chains off thier legs and getting them out of the rain.
2)Julilly made lester proud by showing brevery and courage .
3)she and the children sang songs and eventuallu the rain stopped. -
chapter 5
1)julilly and the others arrived at the riley plantation.
2)the little children were seperated from julilly and jullily felt as if they were her own children.
3)julilly met Liza -
chapter 6
1)julilly learnt of how liza had tried running away but was caught and whipped several times.a coldness creeped over her and she felt frightened.
2)julilly and Liza began picking cotton and julilly helped liza pick as liza"s bent back made it hard for her to pick from high branches.
3)Julilly told Liza about the hensen plantaton and they both talked about canada dreamily and fell asleep. -
chapter 7
1)Liza felt in her bones that something special was going to happen at the plantation.
2)Massa Ross came to the plantation.he was said to have come from canada .
3)Knowing that Massa Ross came from canada,Julilly got hope and was motivated to finally running away and having freedom. -
chapter 8
1)liza ang Julily talked about canada and about how if you followed the north star ,it would lead you to canada.
2)Julily could not stop thinkiinng about canada and freedom.she kept thinking of escaping to the land which every slave dreamt of reaching.
3)Julilly and Liza decide to run away to canada and be free. -
chapter 10
1)julilly and liza finally escape from the plantation.
2)all four of the slaves put some of their necessities in bags and lester cut liza's and julilly's hair short.
3)A while after thier escape,they heard bloodhouns and somehow they were traced.The four of them then made a run for it. -
chapter 9
1)lester told julily that masaa ross had actually come to tthe plantation to help slaves escape to canada.massa ross was an abolitionist.
2)julilly and liza carefully sneaked out at night to the woods where they met massa ross .
3)Massa Ross gave Julilly,Lester ,Adam and Liza instructions on how to escape to canada.
