Congress Adopts the Declaration of Independence
This document is the first printed version of the American Declaration of Independence. On June 7, 1776, Richard Henry Lee of Virginia introduced a resolution urging Congress, meeting in Philadelphia, to declare independence from Great Britain. Four days later, Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Roger Sherman, and Robert R. Livingston were appointed as a committee to draft a declaration of independence. -
Signing of Constitution
The Constitution of the United States of America is signed by 38 of 41 delegates present at the conclusion of the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia. Supporters of the document waged a hard-won battle to win ratification by the necessary nine out of 13 U.S. states. All the men that signed the U.S Constitution are called the foundng fathers. -

Indian Removal Act
The Indian Removal Act was signed into law by Andrew Jackson on May 28, 1830, allowing the president to take Indian land. A few tribes went peacefully, but many got upet with the law and didn't want to leave. In the winter of 1838, the Cherokees were forced to move west by the United States government. Around 4,000 cherokees died on this hard trip. -

California Gold Rush
On January 24, 1848 James Marshall discovered gold at Sutter's Mill, beggining the California gold rush. Many peope traveled by foot,horse,boat,etc. to get to California for gold. People would leave their houses,friends, and families just to go get gold. Finding gold was a hit or miss, and many people died on the way up to california. Going to California was a great risk! -
Stock Market Crash
Black Tuesday hit Wall Street as investors traded some 16 million shares on the New York Stock Exchange in a single day. Billions of dollars were lost, wiping out thousands of investors. Which then spiraled down into the Great Depression ,the deepest and longest-lasting economic event in the history of the Western industrialized world up to that time. -

It was the deepest and longest-lasting economic downturn in the history of the Western industrialized world. In the United States, the Great Depression began soon after the stock market crash. Over the next several years, consumer spending and investment dropped, causing steep declines in industrial output and rising levels of unemployment as failing companies laid off workers. By 1933, 13 to 15 million Americans were unemployed and nearly half of the counrty's banks have failed. -
Cuban Missle Crisis
Leaders of the U.S and the Soviet Union engaged in a tense, 13-day disagreement on October 1962 over the installation of nuclear-armed Soviet missiles on Cuba. In a TV address on October 22, 1962, President John Kennedy notified Americans about the presence of the missiles, and told them that they are not affraid to use the military forces if needed. Luckily, U.S and Cuba came to a conclusion! -
My Birthday
I was the 4th baby born in Mother and Daughter Hospital!I was born around 10 in the morning. My parents are John Gehr and well now Tricia Watterson. I was tthe 2nd baby born by Tricia and John. I have an older brother who is 3 years older then me. As you can see my interest include volleyball and green. Later on my parents got divorced and then they both got re-married! -
terrorist Attack
The terrorists hijacked four airliners and intentionally crashed two into the World Trade Center buildings. They also crashed one into the Pentagon, with another unintentionally crashing in a field near Shanksville, Pennsylvania. This attacked killed numerous people and touched the heart of many people.
