Westward expansion was when the white settlers moved thier way to the west and started to populate the west. -

me and my faily moved out west since they passed the homestead act in 1862. we ended up movin to california sice theres water near by and better for planting our crops. -

set out west, and got alot of land for free. i just have some requirements. ive been farming alot more since the new machine caalled the ''steal plow'' came out. my old buddy told me about it. -

they passed this law called the homestead act. they gave me alot of land for free they said i have to live on it for 5 years, build a house, and start farming. there are no way to get food unless we grow. -

the steel plow has made all farmers lifeeasier since it came out back in 1837. we can do so much in one day without even really working -

i moved to boston farming wasnt going well for me. im surprised to see all the indusrtialization. -
oil industry
i work for rockefeller. he seem like hes pretty cool. the oil industry isnt the best but cant complain. -
elevator
They invented this cool thing called an elevator. It takes you up and down the building so you dont have to walk.they now have it in the factory i work in. Saves alot of time. I really like it -
meeting rockefeller
rockefeller is known for owning all the oil industry. He has so much money. he seemed cool and so does his family. -
labor union
It gets really hard in these harsh working conditions.Theres now a group of people that fight for our working conditions. There called the Labor Union.I agree with these people 100% -
anexing hawaii
congress set out to to annex the hawaiin islands by joint resolution.i dont think it was the right thing to do but hey its Ours. -

yellow journalism
my buddy told me theres alot of crazy stuff going on in the news papers. they really exagerate everything. its called yellow journalism. they do that to make more money than there competetor. -
william hearst
william hearst is now getting a prize for selling the most news papers. its crazy how he exagerates stories and events and now hes getting a award for this.
