A war that was fought between Great Britain and France. Was also known as the Seven years war. They were fighting for new world territory. The war ended in 1763 and the British won. -

The Boston Tea Party was a political protest that occurred in 1773. The American colonists were angry at Britain for imposing "taxation without representation". They dumped lots of tea into the ocean which was imported by the british. -
Intolerable Acts
A series of measures that were passed by the british to punish the massachusetts colonists for the Boston Tea Party. One law was that they closed the port of Boston until the tea that they dumped was paid for. -

This battle happened because the Americans found out that the British were planning to take over the hills around Boston to gain tactical advantage -

Washington and his army set out on christmas day and won 2 battles over the course of 10 days. In the Battle of Trenton, Washington defeated a formidable garrison of Hessian mercenaries before withdrawing. -

The battle of Saratoga was a decisive victory for the continental army and was also a huge turning point in the revolutionary war. The British surrendered and Americans gained victory. -

Signaled the start of the American Revolutionary War. The british army had set out o capture leaders Samuel Adams and John Hancock in Lexington and all of the ammunition and weapons in Concord. -

The Battle of cowpens was another turning point in the revolutionary war. The victory forced the British army to retreat and give the Americans confidence that they could win the war. -
