Richmond Terrace Clifton
William Budd went to visit a patient and diagnosed them with typhoid fever and realized he had a minor epidemic. 13 experianced at least one case of the fever and 34 households. He hypohisised that it was spread by water. -
Mary Mallon
was a cook that spread typhoid fver through water and food without her knowledge and was caught and refused treatment and was held for three years as a threat to the publc. In 1910 she was granted release as long as she didn't go out to be a cook then another outbreak at a hospital was linked to her. She was then taken into custody and spent the rest of her life at Riverside Hospital she died on November 11th, 1938. -
