The magnitude of the Earthquake was a 9 and killed 20,000 people. The Tsunami killed about 1/3 of the population. It was also one of the most deadly and destructive earthquake in history.

The velocity of the Eruption was a VEI of 6 and killed 36,000 plus people. It shot hot ash 50 miles into the air. The force of the eruption was about 13,000 times more powerful than the bomb that devastated Hiroshima.

This Earthquake was a magnitude 8.1 and killed about 160 people. This earthquake caused over 26 million dollars in damage(1946 dollars). It was large enough to have killed one person in California.

Great Chilean Earthquake (Chile)

This Earthquake was a magnitude 9.5 and killed only about 61 people. The earthquake caused a tsunami with its wave being about 8.6 ft. tall. The tsunami arrive within 15 minutes of the earthquake.

This earthquake was a magnitude 9.2 and killed about 130 people. The wave that was caused from the earthquake reached about 220 ft. tall. The Earthquake also lasted about 4.5 minutes.

Hokkaido Earthquake (Japan)

The magnitude of this earthquake reached about a 7.8 and killed about 120 people. This earthquake produced a Tsunami and in 2.5 minutes it engulfed the Okushuri coastline. This Tsunami was one of the largest in Japans history.

This earthquake was a 7.1 magnitude and killed about 2,100 people. This earthquake caused a tsunami that produced a maximum height of 15m. It hit along a 45 km coast hitting three villages.

Sumatra Earthquake (Indonesia)

This earthquake was a magnitude 9.1 and killed 230,000 people. The earthquake which caused a tsunami which released a bunch of energy that was equivalent to 23,000 Hiroshima type atomic-bombs. This earthquake also caused a change in earth's mass causing it to change the planet rotation.

This earthquake was a magnitude 9.1 and killed 20,000 people. This earthquake caused a tsunami which led to three nuclear reactors to meltdown at the Fukushima nuclear power plant by flooding the cooling pipes. There is still to this day 2,523 poeple missing that a presumed dead.
