    An earthquake with a magnitude of 9.0M. About 20,000 people died in this earthquake. It struck on the catholic holiday of All Saint's Day. Fire broke out afterwards and went on for five days. Shock waves after the earthquake hit were felt as far as Finland and North Africa.
