    John Adams was the second president of the United States. During his presidency, he mostly dealt with foreign affairs at first. The XYZ Affair, the Alien Act, and the drafting of the Declaration of Independence are all John Adams' doings.
  • Thomas Jefferson

    Thomas Jefferson was the third president of the United States. He is widely known for being the principal author of the Declaration of Independence and deciding the core values of American democracy. He also had very strong opinions against slavery and proposed many solutions to it during his presidency.

    James Madison was the fourth president of the United States. During his presidency, he brought enslaved people into the White House to help out in the presidential household. He had to deal with the harassment of American ships from the British and ratify the Treaty of Ghent, which ended the War of 1812.

    James Monroe was the fifth president of the United States. He worked alongside Thomas Jefferson in the act of making the Louisiana Purchase. During his presidency, he initiated the Monroe Doctrine, which laid a blueprint for the modern day international relations between the United States and the rest of the world.

He had a nasty election against Andrew Jackson, but won advocating for internal improvements, such as a national road and a network of canals. He ran for a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives and spent 20 years hammering against slavery or the power of the “slaveocracy."

    Andrew Jackson was the seventh president of the United States. He ran twice, once in 1824 and once in 1828. He wanted to make the government work for the common man and took down anything that threatened the republican ideals. He was responsible for the Indian Removal Act, which caused hundreds of thousands of deaths of indigenous people.

    Martin Van Buren was the eighth president of the United States. He was the first person to use the word "slavery" in his inaugural address, stating that he supported the institution. He continued the Indian Removal policy, like Andrew Jackson. The Panic of 1837 caused the people to accuse him of living in luxury while the rest of society is struggling.

    William Henry Harrison was the ninth president of the United States. He is known for having the longest inaugural address of 8,445 words, saying he would be obedient to the will of the people. He died of enteric fever after being in office for just over a month.

    John Tyler was the tenth president of the United States. He quickly took office after the sudden death of former President William Henry Harrison. He revived the Second Bank of the United States and is responsible for the Webster–Ashburton Treaty with Britain and the Treaty of Wanghia with China.
