Who - the Great Britain, Austria, France, Prussia, Russia, and the Netherlands and the independent Kingdom of Belgium.
What - The treaty was an important document, especially in its role in bringing about World War 1. When the German Empire invaded Belgium in August 1914 in violation of the treaty, the British declared war on the 4th of August.

The Frankfurt Treaty
The use of navigable waterways in connection to Alsace-Lorraine, Trade between the two countries and the return of prisoners of war. Established the frontier between the French Third Republic and the German Empire, which involved the ceding of 1,694 villages and cities under French control to Germany. -
The Austro-German Treaty
• The Austro- German Alliance is also known as the Dual alliance, signed in Vienna
• It is a pact between Austria-Hungary and the German Empire.
• The two powers promised to support each other in case they were attacked by Russia. Germany saw the alliance as a way to prevent the isolation of Germany to preserve peace, because Russia would not wage war against both of the empires.
• In 1882 there was an addition of Italy, made this a triple alliance.
• Alliance remained important till 1918 -

The Boxer Protocol
The Boxer Protocol is a treaty that was signed on September 7th, 1901, between the Qing Empire of China and the Eight-Nation Alliance, plus Belgium, Spain and the Netherlands. The treaty was instigated after the Allies put down the Boxer Rebellion. By the terms of the treaty the Chinese were required to pay, over a period of 40 years, an indemnity of $333 million.
