THE ADMIRAL BENBOW
The story starts at the Admiral Benbow Inn, which is owned by Jim’s father. Jim describes the arrival of a sailor, Billy Bones, there. Bill was carrying a sea-chest and he told Jim to look for the one-legged sailor. The sailor stayed at the inn for months and he began to terrorize the people there because of his character. -
THE MAP
Some pirates came into the inn looking for the sea-chest but it was empty. They were angry and tried to capture Jim and his mom, one pirate died. Jim carried the papers to Livesey´s home, they showed a treasure island. They devised a plan to go to the island and find the treasure. Livesey went to Bristol to find the crew, the cook was Long John Silver. -
BLACK DOG AND BLIND PEW
Black Dog, a sailor, arrived at the inn, he wanted to talk to Bill. They became drunk, Black Dog ran away and Bill fell to the floor sick. Dr. Livesey sent Bill to bed to recover himself. Jim’s father died while Bill was recovering. Blind Pew came into the inn and Bill recognized him. Pew put the black spot in his hand and ran away, then, Bill died. Jim and his mom found some coins and papers in Bill’s chest and scaredly ran away from the blind pirate. -
THE APPLE BARREL
Jim met Silver in his inn a few days later. Captain Smollett wasn’t happy about the voyage because part of the crew knew about the treasure. When the boat left England, the crew were very polite, trustworthy people. But one night Jim fell asleep in an apple barrel on the ship and he heard Long John Silver, Israel Hands and another sailor planning to kill the doctor, the captain and the squire and steal the treasure. -
THE ISLAND
The ship, Hispaniola, reached land. Jim told Captain Smollett what had happened at night and they thought up a new plan. The Hispaniola anchored in a safe place and Jim ran away into the forest. Jim heard some guns. He discovered that the pirates had killed two sailors, so he went silently away from there. While he was escaping from the sailors, he stopped in front of the figure of a man, Ben Gunn. -
BEN GUNN
Ben Gunn explained to Jim that he had stayed alone in the island for 3 years. Ben knew Long John, and he told Jim that he was dangerous. Suddenly, when a cannon fired near them, Jim left Ben and he ran to the stockade where his friends were. Jim told them about Ben Gunn’s story. -
THE ATTACK
They rowed towards the island.The squire shot at Israel but he missed. Suddenly, two men went out the forest, one of them was Long John Silver. The captain Smollett told Silver to enter the stockade. Somebody had killed one of the captain Smollett's men. Silver made him an offer. John was angry. The captain was convinced they could beat them.The pirates went towards the stockade. Gray killed Anderson and Hunter and the captain were injured. -
MY SEA ADVENTURE
Hunter died. The doctor took his weapons, went out of the stockade and into the forest. Gray got frightened and Jim thought he was going to meet with Ben Gunn. Jim left the stockade and took Ben Gunn’s small boat to reach the Hispaniola. Israel and another pirate were fighting on the boat. Jim climbed into a cabin and later returned to the island. Ben Gunn’s boat broke and sank. -
ISRAEL HANDS
Jim climbed up into the Hispaniola.There were Israel Hands and another pirate. Israel Hands had killed another pirate. Jim sailed the boat heading for the north of the island to meet with his friends. Israel told Jim to go to the deck and fetch some wine.Meanwhile, Israel he took a knife and hid it in his jacket. Israel tried to kill Jim but he was the one who died in the end. -
PIECES OF HEIGHT
Jim got off the boat and returned to the stockade. Jim was happy because he would meet his friends again. Long John Silver saw him and told him that their friends were angry with him. Jim told his experience to John. The other pirates wanted to kill Jim but John defended him. The doctor gave John Captain Flint’s map of treasure island. -
TREASURE
John, who wasn't with the pirates anymore, and Jim sailed to Spyglass Hill to find the treasure with the other pirates. When the pirates realized that the treasure wasn’t there, John shot them to death. Ben had the treasure hidden in his cave. Later, they carried the treasure to the Hispaniola and left the island for England. John stole a sack of gold and escaped. The rest arrived in England and divided up the treasure.
