The crew was Harnessed like Horses to pull 2,000 pounds to open water. -
Painful sores on men
Their cloths were worn out it caused painful sores. Also at 11 p.m. one of the crew members named Ernie Holness fell in the water. -
Finding open water
The men found open water and rode in the "James Caird", the "Dudley Docker",and the "Stancomb Wills". -
Elephant Island
Shack and his crew of five finally found land, it was Elephant Island,with 3,500 foot peaks -
Not Expected Elephant Island
Elephant Island was just rock,ice, snow, and wind which was not expected. While Shack adn the other five men went to find the whaling station, the other men had to make a tent out of the last two boats. -
Graybeard ahead
The 6 men found themselves in a greybeard,which is a very big wave that quickly and quietly threatens everyones path. -
At the Whaling Station?
The men found the island but was on the wrong side,only three men stayed behind while Big Tom,Skipper, and Shack climbed over ridges to find the Whaling Station. -

The men struggled climbing the mountain and took turns being awake and asleep.They found themselves at the end of climbing and had to slide down. -

At 4 p.m they finally found the Whaling Station and saw Thoralf Sorlle.
