United States Space Shuttle Crashes
Columbia space shuttle disintegrated over Texas and Louisiana while reentering Earth killing all seven crew members. A peice of foam insulation broke off the space shuttle and struck the left wing causing hot gases to penetrate and destroy the wing, which then broke up the space craft. -
Aurora Shooting
In Aurora, Colorado, a mass shooting happened in Century movie theater, during a midnight showing of the Dark Knight Rises. James Holmes was the shooter and killed 12 and injuring 70. -
Sandy Hook Shooting
In Newtown, Connecticut, Sandy Hook Elementary, a mass shooting event happened. Adam Lanza shot 20 children and 6 adult staff. He then commited suicide once law enforcement arrived. -
Boston Bombing
During the Boston Marathon, in Boston, two pressure cooker bombs exploded killing 3 and injuring around 265. The two bombs were only 210 yards apart and went within 13 seconds.
