    Napoleon decided to start building a French Empire in Europe and of course the other nations such as Great Britain went to war with France. As you can probably tell most French people didn't want to go to Great Britain and vise versa. And of course Britain and France were both colonial powers so they weren't travelling anywhere. In war not many people travel to the country you're at war with.
  • First Public Railway in the United Kingdom

    In 1807 the first public railway was opened. This was a horse drawn carriage on an existing tram line. This was extremely useful to tourism as people in the United Kingdom as this would be faster than walking or riding a horse as now multiple people can now travel.

    In 1845 Great Britain was the Naval power of the world and this shows as the S.S Great Britain was the largest passenger ship in the world. And to top it all off it was ahead of is time to.

    The British entered WW1 on the side of the allies. This was obviously a huge roadblock in the way of tourism as not many British people would have been leaving the U.K and not many Axis powers would have entered the U.K

    Again the U.K had entered the war on the side of the Allies and again this event had a major event on world tourism. Not many German of Japanese people were entering the U.K and vise versa.
