Julius Caesar started as a military leader and through success, he moved up the ranks and declared himself the dictator of Rome and made Rome and empire. He was assassinated by a group of senators that feared his power. -

Pax Romana means "Roman Peace", it was a time where Rome saw peace and had very few problems, even though they controlled a huge area in Europe. -

Christianity was created around this time. Christianity would change to be the primary religion in Rome and change a lot about the empire. Since the Romans believed that the emperor was a god, changing to their religion that had one definite god weakened the authority of the emperor. -

The Five Good Emperors
The Five Good Emperors were five emperors who ruled over Rome during its most prosperous and successful times. The emperors were Nerva, Trajan, Hadrian, Antonius Pious, and Marcus Aurelius, they ruled from 96 CE to 180 CE. -

The Fall of Rome
After hundreds of years of success, Rome finally fell. Rome fell because of corruption, internal and external war, and infiltration by barbarian cultures.
