    Early Colonialism

    In the 15 century, the "Age of Discovery", Nations Spain,Portugal, France, and Britain led exploration of the newly found land. Including the Americas, Africa, the Middle East, India, and East Asia.
  • 1500

    Centrifugal Forces

    Is the forces that pull away from the center and or break apart states or keep one from forming. This happened in Europe because of the multi languages being spoken, they divided the land so that the same people who spoke the same language would be in the same area
  • Seven Years War

    This war heavily influenced colonial claims. British in response won control of Canada from France. But in the end resulting in the colonist wanting independence
  • Breaking Away

    In the territory that Great Britain gained for colonization, colonist moved to the new land for new material. Great Britain did not treat these colonist right. In response, the America bought for the independence from Great Britain.
  • Later Colonialism

    In the 19th century, European countries launched a second wave of colonization with Great Britain, France, Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, Germany. In this wave they focused in Africa and Asia for territories
  • Berlin Conference

    In response to the second wave of the European countries looking for more territory was a meeting where they formed the state boundaries in Africa.
  • Cold War

    Was a period of diplomatic, political, and military rivalry between the US and the Soviet Union. In response, countries were split, countries merged into eachother, etc
  • Independence

    The Spread of Independence, 1945 to 2015, was a huge role in the Political Map. Many nations that were territories to bigger countries fought for the independence with war and loss. For example, Many African countries gained independence from the European countries
