Francis Pegahmagabow Social
+2 A Lot of Progress
Francis was the best sniper in WWI, he had 378 sniper kills. He was also very good at gaining information on the enemy (Germans). He was very brave and took risks in WWI. He also got an award in WWI with the most sniper kills ever. The reason why I think that Francis Pegahmagabow made a lot of progress for Canada is because if we didn't have him in the war we could have lost to the Germans and Canada would have become a very different country right now. -
Aliens On Enemy Homefront Political
-1 Little decline
The word "aliens" ment that a family for the enemy side immigrated to Canada. The Canadian government thought theses "aliens" were enemy spies. The government made the War Measuring Act and that limited the freedom for the "aliens". The reason why I think this is little decline is because the government limited their freedom so they won't have the same rights as other Canadians, I think everyone should have the same rights no matter where you're from. -
Allison Borden Social
+1 Little progress
Allison Borden was a Canadian solider in WWI. Allison Borden wrote a poem to encourage Canadians to fight in the war because many Canadians were not enlisting in war. He was also one of the candidates to become the PM Canada. The reason why this is little progress is because he knew that if Canada lost the war germans will come and destroy our lands and rule over it, it was also given women to vote only if their family is participating in war. -
The Canadian Income Tax Act Economical
-2 A lot of decline
The Canadian income act allowed you to pay taxes for yearly income. If you didn't pay the yearly income you had a fine of $100 and it goes by up 100 each day and the max fine is $10,000.This affected a lot of people in Canada. This act is still going on today. This is a lot of decline because the women that are going to labour barely earn money and almost all the money is going for income tax, their family could not afford to live in Canada. -

The battle of Vimy Ridge Social
+2 A lot of Progress
The battle of Vimy Ridge took place in France in 1917. This is one of Canada huge accomplishment in the war. The goal was took take over the trench form the germans. It was also the first time the 1st-4 divisions attacked at the same time. This is a lot of progress because this only took 4 days to complete and the pan worked out by the British army. It was only 10,000 casualties for Canadian soldiers. This was also one of the steps to defeat the Germans in WWI. -
First Nations Political
-2 A Lot of decline
The first nations are people that fist lived in Canada. The government wanted the first nations to become like them and speak like them. So they made a decision that the young kids that were first nations can change their religious, so they made residential schools. This is a lot of decline because in the residential schools the first nation were getting harassed if they speak their language and I think that everyone should have their own right no matter where there from. -
Movies Political
+2 A lot of progress
Movies are a sign of entertainment and makes you thrilled. In the 1920s movies were a new thing and you can watch movies with our friends and family on a tv. This is a lot of progress because this was a sign of entertainment and there were new jobs like being an actor, editor and director. This also boosted the economy. There were also many famous actors or actresses and that made them happy because the audience liked them. -
Chinese immigrants Political
-2 A lot of decline
In Canada there were Chinese immigrants that were working on the pacific railway and that took a long time. When the construction was done the Chinese immigrants were getting discriminated by the Canadians. This is a lot of decline because the Chinese immigrants helped the Canadian to build the Pacific railway and now the Canadians want the cheese to leave. The government also did a head tax and Chinese immigration act to decrease the number of Chinese immigrants to Canada. -
Mary Pickford Social
+1 Little progress
Mary Pickford was a famous actress in the 1920s. She liked doing the job she did and also got enough money to live a life in Canada. Her fans liked her and that this was a first time at seeing entrainment in a different style. This is a little progress because Mary Pickford liked her job and she also earned money. I think that everyone should like their job and get the money for that job without criticizing what colour or gender they are. -
Telephones Political
- 2 A lot of Progress Telephones were fist introduced in Canada in the 1920s. In the 1920 there were a few Canadians with telephones but in the 1929 there 3 and a half Canadians had a telephone.
