Chapter 1
Scout has her first day of school coming up. She is very excited about it. She is going into the first grade. -
Chapter 5
Jem and Scout become interested in Boo Radley. They try to slip a note to him. They get caught. -
Chapter 6
Jem and Scout were shot at in the Radleys yard. Mr. Radely thoughtit was an African in his yard. It was really just Jem and Scout. -
Chapter 8
Miss Maudie's house caught on fire. "Miss Maudie's tin roof quelled the flames. Roaring, the house collapsed; fire gushed everywhere, followed by a flurry of blankets from men on top of the adjacent houses, beating out the flames.." -
Chapter 9
Scout finds out her dad is defending an African American in court. She is confused because she grew up in a prejudiced society. Scouts father is a lawyer. -
Chapter 15
The mob threatens Atticus and Scout softens Mr Cunningham. The mob goes to the Maycomb county Jail looking for Tom Robinson, only to be stopped by Atticus Finch. -
Chapter 18
Tom Robinsons Trials begin. 'I am not. t's morbiod to watch a poor devil on trial for his life'.
Miss Maudies seems to be the only adult besides Atticus, to show sympathy towards Tom. -
Chapter 19
Tom testifies as innocent. Bob Ewell testified against him. Mayella said he raped her. -
Chapter 20
Tom was pronounced guilty. He didn't actually commit the crime. He was sent to prison. -
Chapter 23
Tom Robinson was pronounced dead. He tried to escape prison. While trying to escape he was shot 17 times.
