Scout and Atticus
Scout tells Atticus that her teacher has been saying that she has been taught how to read incorrectly and that she shouldn't be sent back to school because of it. Atticus tells her that its required by law that she goes to school and he told her that he would still read to her as long as she doesn't tell her teacher. -
Burris Ewell
After Miss Caroline is startled by the lice in Burris’ hair, she tells him to go home for the afternoon to wash up and come back to school the next day. However, he laughs instead and announces that he wasn’t going to come back tomorrow
