Start of chapter 1.Scout begins first grade. She does not like school. -
Radley's Oak Tree
Scout and Jem stumble upon a hollowed oak tree in the radleys yard. They find many things in the Radley's oak tree including a watch, gum, and money. -
Radley's
Jem, Dill, and Scout sneak out at night.They try to look in Boo Radley's window. But somebody fires a gun and scares them off. -
2nd Grade
Scout starts second grade. They find soap carvings of a boy and girl in the Radley's oak tree. They think the carvings are somewhat odd. -
Radley's Oak Tree
Jem and scout find a spelling bee medal, a chain, and a knife in the oak tree. A few days later the hole got filled with cement. -
Tom Robinson's Arrest
Tom Robinson, the man who Atticus is defending in court, is arrested upon false charges. He was accused of raping a girl whom he was only trying to help. This upsets Atticus. -
Mrs. Radley Dies
Mrs. Radley died. -
House Burns Down
Miss Maudies house burns down. As scout was watching the burning house Boo Radley put a blanket around her shoulders. She did not see him though. -
Jem Gets Into Trouble
Jem gets angry at an old lady that lives up the street. She never treats him with respect. He decides to ruin her flower garden. He is forced to reat to her for a month as punishment. -
Ms. Dubose Dies
The old woman that jem had to read to died. He found out that she was adicted to pain medication and was trying to quit before she died. That was why she was so grumpy. -
Calpurnia's Church
The Finch's maid, Calpurnia invites Jem and Scout to come to her church. It is a segregated community so it is odd for them to go to the all-black church. -
Tom Robinson's Trial
The day of Tom Robinson's trial. He was accused of raping a girl. But he was accused only to cover up how her dad beats her. Tom Robinson is found guilty. -
Tom Robinson Dies
Tom Robinson tries to escape prison. He is shot and killed. He would have escaped if he didnt have a bad arm. -
Furious Bob
Bob Ewell loses his job. He then leaves the judge a hate note. He also stalks Tom Robinson's wife -
Halloween
Bob Ewell attacks Jem and Scout. Boo Radley saves them by stabbing bob. Scout shows Boo Radley home.
