Scout reluctantly wore a dress. Scout was punished for explaining all of the ins and outs of Maycomb county. -
Scout and Jem find a knot hole
Boo had placed various items in the hole for the children such as wax dolls and chewing gum. -
Dill, Scout and Jem attempt to get Boo to come out of the house
Jem loses his pants on the fence. Nathan fires his shot gun. The children say they were playing strip poker with matches. When Jem returns his pants are neatly folded. -
Tom Robinson is arrested for raping Mayella Ewell
Atticus Finch is chosen to defend Tom even though he will get judged and slandered for it. -
Atticus shoots mad dog in street
Jem didn't know his dad was known for his good shot in town. -
Tom Robinson's trial begins.
Before the trial a mob began around Atticus but Scout made them leave. Scout, Jem and Dill attend the trial in balcony seats. Tom is found guilty but the jury took longer than usual to make a verdict. -
Tom Robinson dies.
Tom saw no hope and ran for the fence. He was shot 17 times. Atticus had to tell Mrs. Robinson. -
Bob Ewell is furious.
Bob Ewell threatens Atticus after losing his job. He broke into Judge Taylor's house. He lingers around the Robinson house. -
Bob Ewell attacks Jem and Scout
Scout's costume saves her life. Jem breaks his arm. Boo saves their lives.
