This is a decline in history because we almost destroyed a nation and its culture with residential schools. In Steven Harpers Apology he said this "Today, we recognize that this policy of assimilation was wrong, has caused great harm, and has no place in our country." This invention helped save a lot of live. This is a period of progress because before diabetes was considered death but now we have found a way to help those who have diabetes. In the article "The Discovery of Insulin, the Canadian Encyclopedia" it says that diabetes was a deadly disease and the solution was to starve the patient but Frederick Banting found a cure, Insulin. -

This is significant because of equality to treat all genders with respect. This is a period of progress where women weren't allowed to vote but now in every country except Quebec, who allowed women to vote in 1940, can vote. this prove significance because in the Canadian Encyclopedia Women's Suffrage in Canada it says that it was not just that women aren't seen as people so for Canada to be a just country it has to be just to everyone first. -
Chinese Exclusion Act -1
This impacted the cultural diversity in the Canadian population. This is a period of decline since we made a bill to exclude the Chinese from coming to Canada. This is significant because in Canadian encyclopedia Chinese immigration Act says that there were too many chinese people coming into Canada to they tried to stop them with this act.
