☮ Women on the home front (-1)
Although more spots were opening up for women in the workforce, some people demanded that the women would have to go back to their old jobs. There were also not many job opportunities for women of colour. Another reason for decline would be how although there was an increase in demand to give the vote to women, this change was resisted by the same people that wanted women to return to their original roles before the war.

☮ Enemy Aliens and the Home Front (-2)
This is of decline because of the way the people were being treated. If someone had the background of an enemy country, they could not be trusted and were put in prison war camps. They also had their voting rights taken away and were living in horrible conditions.

The evidence in this event only shows that the war created many opportunities for Canadian artists. Although there was progress for individuals, there still was not a lot of progress for Canada overall.
