    Battle Of Ypres. after the Germans tried to take Ypres with gas bombs but the allies stood there ground and the Germans lost.

    Battle Of Somme. the battle of Somme was a hard fought battle by the Canadians and British but the Germans ended up victories with Canadian troops suffering terrible casualties.

    Women's right to vote. Nellie Mcclung fought to allow women to vote in federal elections. the first province to allow women to vote was Manitoba and soon after that most other provinces followed Manitoba and allowed women to vote.

    The Battle Of Vimy Ridge. the battle of vimy ridge was a significant event because it helped turn the tides against Germany in WW1.

    The Battle Of Passchendaele. this battle was the first battle that Canada was in and it was a hard battle but after 3 months of combat British and Canadian troops got a victory.

    The Halifax Explosion. the Halifax explosion was a huge disaster that greatly set back Canada. two ships crashed one containing lots of explosives and they both exploded there was a total of 1950 deaths and 9000 injured.
