    Class Struggle

    The class struggle was known as the Conflict of Orders where the plebeians fought for more political representation. The Roman government made a Plebeian Counsel which would give the plebeians representation.

    The Punic Wars

    The Punic Wars were three wars between Rome and the Carthaginians. Rome was increasing in power which was a threat to the Carthaginians who were trading partners with Rome. This led to conflict and the first war broke out.

    Julius Caesar

    Julius Caesar was a politician, general, and ruler of Rome. Caesar was a ruthless leader during war and was a dictator.

    Augustus

    Augustus was a leader of Rome also known as Octavian. Augustus changed Rome from a republic to an empire, but he still continued republic beliefs and culture.

    Pax Romana

    Pax Romana stood for Roman peace. Pax Romania was a time in Rome where there was peace. There were also three major imperial dynasties which include The Julian Dynasty, The Flavian Dynasty, and The "Five Good Emperors".

    Diocletian

    Diocletian was a ruler of Rome who revamped Rome after a period of crisis. Diocletian ruled with co-emperors and he later divided the Roman Empire into separate sections for each emperor to rule.

    Constantine was the first Christian emperor and was known for spreading Christianity not only to his empire, but also to the lands he conquered.

    Byzantium Empire

    The Byzantium Empire kept the Greek and Roman legacy alive. It also incorporated Christian beliefs into Roman culture.

    Justinian

    Justinian was an emperor for the Byzantine Empire and was very important. Justinian was a leader of the Christian Church as well as being the leader of the empire. He influenced many people to convert to Christianity and was very passionate about his faith.

    Muhammad was the prophet of God in the Islamic religion. Muhammad would travel all over to preach the Quran which was Islam's sacred scripture.
