David established Jerusalem as the central city for the Jews. After Solomon's death in 922 B.C.E, the kingdom was split into Northern and Southern kingdoms of Judah. (page 61) -

The Babylonian Exile
In Jerusalem, the city including the temple was destroyed which forced more captives into the Babylonian exile. (page 60) -

Rebuilding of the Temple
Persians defeated the Babylonians and freed the exiles. At this point they were known as the Jews. When they returned to Jerusalem they rebuilt the temple. (page 61) -

- We can learn from Moses that although there may be an evil power controlling parts of our lives or the lives of others (Pharaoh), we must trust in God to help us and to give us the opportunity to free ourselves.

- The second thing we can learn is that you are stuck and you have no way around a difficult situation, God will show you the way. for example, he parted the red sea for Moses and the Israelites to escape the Egyptians. Moses never lost hope or faith in God and this is something everyone can learn from Moses.
