Between 1958 and 1960 Elvis joined the US Army and served in Germany. -
The Day The Music Died
On February 3, 1959 a small charter plane took off from an airport in Iowa, USA. On board, on their way to a schedule tour destination, were three of the 1950's great American Rock & Roll stars, Buddy Holly, Richie Valens and The Big Bopper. Tragically the plane crashed soon after take off, leaviing no survivors. -
Surf Music
During the early to the mid 1960's, in California, siveral American bands were trying to combine two of their state's favorite pstimes, music and surffing. The result was what we now refer to as Surf Music. -
