Japanese Submarine attack on Sydney Harbour
The Japanese spotted an American heavy cruiser (The USS Chicago) the night before, using a small float plane that flew over the harbour. They Japanese then bombed the Harbour the next day to attempt to sink the warship and others anchored in the harbour.
