The cycle of the monarch butterfly from beginning to end! -
Eggs hatch into larvae (caterpillars)
After 4 days the eggs will hatch into larvae or caterpillars. These caterpillars eat the milkweed plant and grow. -
After 2 weeks the caterpillars turn into a chrysalis!
Once the caterpillars have grown enough they turn into a chrysalis which begins as a green colour -
Chrysalis just before turning into butterfly!
After two weeks of the caterpillar being in the chrysalis is turns a different colour. While the caterpillar is inside the chrysalis it is turning into a butterfly! -
The Butterfly comes out of the Chrysalis!
The caterpillar emerges from the chrysalis after two weeks! and becomes a butterfly!
