    This is the date when Clovis the first started his reign and under his ruling the germanic tribes united and formed the Frank Empire. He was baptized as Roman catholic, it's important, because he had the support of the pope and his empire became catholic too.

    Paris became the capital

    The city was founded by Clovis, and in 508 it became the capital of the Frank Empire.

    Uprising of the Carolingian dynasty

    In 751 Pepin the Short replaced the last Merovingian king Childeric III. and the Carolingian dynasty became the ruling dynasty. In 754 officially he became the king.

    Ruling of Charlemagne

    This is the year when Charles the Great started his reign. Under his ruling the empire was in the golden age.

    Charlemagne became an emperor

    In 800 owing to pope Leo III. Charlemagne became the emperor. His coronation happened in Rome.

    The treaty of Verdun and the fall

    The grandchildrens of Charlemagne divided the Frank Empire into 3 parts, this was the treaty of Verdun. Lothar became the ruler of Lorraine, Charles the Bald got the western part of the empire and Louis the German ruled the eastern part of the Frank Empire. This also meant the fall of the Frank empire.
