    The chalboard was first invented in the 1800's and it was used as a new way of interaction in the classroom. It was used to engage children more on things they were learning about. However, the chalkboard can be seen as inpractical as none of the information could ever be saved and had to be erased after every use and then re written in every lesson.
  • Educational Radio

    Educational Radio
    This was the first portable device that children used to learn. Althouh it seemed like a good idea for children to be able to learn from them if they were not able to attend class, it was not always practical as not all children had access to one of these adn even if you did you would not be able to take it everywhere with you.

    The educational film projected still images on an advancing piece of film, which was accomodated the adio recording.
  • The Micro Computer

    The Micro Computer
    The micro computer was first introduced in the 1960's and was used for coding. However, its uses were very limited as in this era the world wide web had not been invented.

    The television was used in a more practical and educational environment. It was used to engage children in a interesting and exciting way. Although it seemed like a good idea, it could also distract children from and altough things were classed as educational this may not have actually been true.
  • Tablets/Smartphones

    Tablets/Smartphones
    Tablets and smartphone are the most up to date piece of technology. They are used for many various reasons but some of the most important reason are surfing the web, using social media, making phone calls and sending text messages. The most obvious downside to smartphones and tablets is that people because addicted and lose sight of social interaction that is beyond their phone.
