  • Adobe Photoshop

    Invented by Thomas and John Knoll. After they developed it in the late 1980s, it eventually came to the attention of Adobe when the two brothers were looking for investors. Adobe Photoshop 1.0 was released in February of 1990 and is now used by creative professionals for image editing, web development, and much more.
  • Nokia 1011

    Nokia 1011
    Manufactured by Nokia in Germany from 1992-1994. The Nokia 1011 was the first mass-produced GSM cell phone. GSM stands for Global System for Mobile Communications and the users could use the Nokia in 14 different countries.
    Though there were mobile phones that came before this one. They were quite large and inconvenient, but the Nokia 1011 changed the way we looked at mobile devices.
  • Sony Playstation

    Sony Playstation
    The first PlayStation was invented by Sony exec. Ken Kutaragi and was developed/marketed by Sony Computer Entertainment. It was released in Japan on December 3 1994 and didn't come to America until the following year.
    The invention and success of the first PlayStation paved the way for the gaming consoles that we see today.

    DVD
    The DVD (Digital Video Disk or Digital Versatile Disc) was developed in 1995 and was later released in 1996.
    Many companies have been tagged as inventors. Sony, Panasonic, Phillips, Toshiba, Time Warner.
    The DVD is a medium that can store any kind of digital data, Videos, Photographs, Audio, and computer data.
    Compared to the CD, the DVD has better sound and image quality, and higher storage while still having the same dimensions.

    Google
    Google was invented by Larry Page and Sergey Brin while they were students at Standford University.
    Originally called "backrub" they wanted a search engine "to organize the world's information and make it universally accessible and useful".
    Today, google is used by billions all across the world and has impacted how we interact with each other, and technology and has overall upgraded our day-to-day life.
