  • Navigation Acts

    Navigation Acts
    It was issued in the 1660's but was enforced in 1760. It listed specific commodities that could be shipped. It caused major resentment in the colonies and was a major part in leading to the American Revolution. This act helped the British Government a lot and made get more money.
  • Proclamation of 1763

    Proclamation of 1763
    It halted the westward expansion. The colonists rebelled against the Proclamation. King George III did it so the Native Americans would not be as mad at him. These were the Indians who sided with him in the seven years war.
  • Sugar Act

    Sugar Act
    Increase Great Britain's profits of the sugar trade. The colonists were very angry and was repealed in 1765. The British Government was very angry and they finally repealed the act in 1765 because of the pressure of the colonists.
  • Stamp Act

    Stamp Act
    The stamps must be used on all documents of the colonies. The colonists were angry and rebelled against it. The government kept enforcing the Act to pay for the British Troops.
  • Townshend Act

    Townshend Act
    A variety of imported good were taxed to earn money for the British troops. The colonists were very angry as they were about all of the other acts. The government was forcing the colonists to pay.
