  • The Declaratory Act

    The Declaratory Act
    This was an act of Parliament of Great Britain gave permission to pass laws with and over the american colonies. Most of the American Colony celebrated and were happy but not all. Some of the colonists were angered because this act meant that there was going to be more acts coming. Now the act left the British with the idea that they could impose laws and taxes on the american colonies.
  • The Townshend Acts

    The Townshend Acts
    This was an act that put tax on every item that was imported and the colonists were not happy, they were angered and a lot of this resulted in the Boston massacre. The British took off taxes on a lot of the items but left it on some items such as tea without the colonists' consent.
  • The Sugar Act

    The Sugar Act
    The Sugar Act put taxes on sugar, wine, coffee, and more items that came into the colony. The colonists were angered by this act because of economic consequences and thought that since they had no representatives in parliament, they should not be taxed. Now since the British did not agree with this act, they then created The Stamp Act.
  • The Stamp Act

    The Stamp Act
    This act required all American colonists to pay tax on every piece of printed paper they used. The colonists were so angry about this act being made that they began to boycott on all British goods and began to riot. The British were the ones who passed this law so they could help and pay fro the British troops.
