    The Sugar Act
    The Sugar Act required colonists to pay an additional 3 pence for every pound of sugar. This annoyed colonists because they had no representation in Parliament.   • The Stamp Act

    The Stamp Act
    This act required all paper in the colonies to have a paid stamp. Two ways that the colonists reacted to this were by creating the Stamp Act Congress and by rioting.     The Quartering Act of 1765
    This act required colonists to pay for the food and quartering of British soldiers. Most colonists circumvented paying for this.     The Quartering Act of 1774
    This act was similar to the other quartering act but soldiers could be housed in more kinds of buildings and did not need to be supplied with food.
