    In order to keep the peace with the Native Americans, Britain stopped colonization west of the Appalachian mountains. This angered the colonists.

    The colonies were taxed money per pound of sugar bought. The colonists were angered.
  • Stamp Act

    Stamp Act
    Every single document: paper, newspaper, playing cards, wills, legal, documents, etc. needed to have a stamp on it. These stamps cost a lot of money. Any kind of stamp fraud would lead to death. They were angered.

    Boston Massacre
    Colonists were protesting. Britan soldiers fired into an open crowd full of colonists. 5 were killed including Crispus Attucks. Colonists were furious.
